Beginner Spanish Class

Have you always wanted to learn Spanish? Join a four-week class for adult beginners, Saturdays in July from 1:30 to 2:30 PM!

The class will have an immersive, conversational approach, with an emphasis on listening and speaking: You will start speaking Spanish the very first day! The environment will be fun, supportive and encouraging. Topics will include, but are not limited to, greetings, numbers, colors, the alphabet, family members, the body, and simple conversations.

Instructor Kate Swartley has her master's degree in Spanish and has taught the language at five different universities. She is excited to start leading community classes.

The class is free, but purchase of the Espaol En Vivo Level 1 workbook, $18, is required. The workbook is available to purchase directly on Amazon. Two participants are welcome to share a single copy.

Registration is required, and the class is limited to 15 participants. Use the form below to sign up. (Be sure to fill in all the fields in order to mark yourself as participating in each of the weekly sessions.)

If the class fills up, please sign up for the waitlist to indicate interest in a possible second session, which would meet from 2:30 to 3:30 PM on Saturdays in July.
