A vibrant Main Street is the heart of our community. A place where shared memories are created, where we gather to celebrate community traditions. A place where our neighbors create and work in small businesses that play a large role in the city’s economic vitality.

On behalf of Choose Newton Main Street and the Central Kansas Community Foundation, we are asking individuals, organizations, and businesses who can financially support this campaign to join us in this initial phase to improve our historic downtown.

OUR GOAL (2023-2024)

• Holiday decorations to replace the 65 ornaments that have been in use for approximately 20 years.
• A new wireless sound system for at least three blocks of Main Street.

We have set a goal of $100,000 in the first phase of this capital campaign, so that some of these improvements can be in place by the end of 2024, but the campaign will be an ongoing one to continue the beautification of Newton's Main Street.
