ABOUT WARKENTIN HOUSE MUSEUM
Step into the Victorian era in the Newton home of Bernhard and Wilhelmina Warkentin. This Queen Ann-style home was built in 1886-1887 and is a splendid example of the Victorian period in American architecture and furnishings. The house offers a glimpse into the way the Warkentins lived, and 80 percent of the original furnishings remain. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Kansas Register of Historic Places.
